The CineSalon Program provides members with the opportunity to screen their short films or docs, trailers, works in progress, tv pilots, etc. and gain feedback from other members and filmmakers.

It also provides filmmakers with an opportunity to crew up their projects or a chance to join a production. Everyone can network with people in the industry, as well as get started on making their own films. Your next job could be found at a CineSalon. Everyone gets to meet like-minded filmmakers and documentarians and share advice or ideas and garner support and inspiration.

There are two consecutive screenings running 45 minutes as the screening room holds about 20-25 people. Networking takes place in the restaurant/bar area after each screening.

Attendance is FREE to CineWomen Members! $5.00 non-members. Submissions are FREE to CineWomen Members.

CineWomen is pleased to announce our February CineSalon line up which will take place on Monday, February 28, 2005. There will be two screenings back to back at 7:15 and 8:30.

Great food and drinks available at Ian Copeland's Backstage Café. Many thanks to Ian for providing this venue for filmmakers. Line up is as follows:

Thorn Grass - Robin Hammer (8 minutes)
A transformative mediation on the untimely death of a Two-Spirited youth. This film honors his spirit and his courage to live authentically. THORN GRASS is based on the life and death of Fred C. Martinez Jr., a Navajo (Dine) young man who was killed in a hate crime in Cortez, Colorado in 2001.

Shake The Rain - Robin Hammer (13 minutes)
A film based on a dramatic reading of the original writing of Transgender author Tennessee Jones. Tennessee Jones speaks of desire, brutality and hope in a beautifully drawn account from an Appalachian childhood.

the various chicken dishes that she is able to get in America from a beautiful
dancer named Georgia.
