CineWomen LA:

CineWomen's New Advisory Board

We are growing rapidly and the time has come for some professional guidance that will mentor the board in assisting our members. To this end we are thrilled to announce our first two Advisory Board Members, Carole Dean and Louise Levison.

June Mixer

CineWomen and Gen Art packed the Bel-Air Bar & Grill on Wednesday evening, June 16th with another fab meeting & mixer. Starting with a Round Robin, members and guests introduced themselves and stated what they needed next to move forward with their project or career. Mark Litwak addressed the crowd first with his legal insights and expertise for our filmmakers. Mark generously donated a signed copy of his book "Reel Power" which was won by CineWomen Documentary Filmmaker Judy Branfman. Gail Murphy, "Interview Tactics" followed with how to pitch your project in 30 seconds (or more if you are lucky) when the opportunity arises anywhere! Kat Stephens won Gail's CD version of "Interview Tactics". In attendance were: Sylvia Terry of The Los Angeles Film Festival, David Fralick (The Y&R), Jennifer Egan-Gen Art, Gary Shusett, Director Sherwood Oaks College, and Mike Kyle VSDA/HTBM Filmmaker Program. Business cards flowed along with the appertizers as people connected with each other based on the Round Robin information to take the next step forward. We thank all of you for your support. The continuing feedback not only of successful connections but how comfortable and friendly the atmosphere and people are is much appreciated. You all Rock!
